Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection

The Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection was first launched in 1970. As of today, more than 348 Outstanding Young Persons had been selected.

The TOYP Selection is an annual event organized by the JCIHK with the following objectives:

  • To give formal recognition to those young people who excel themselves in their professional endeavor and commitments to the community;
  • To promote prominent roles played by aspiring young people in shaping a better future for society;
  • and To provide an incentive to all promising young people who seek further advancement in personal achievements as well as public services.

Selection Criteria

The candidate’s personal achievement in his/her area of work/interest and contribution to the community both equally constitute the criteria for consideration in the Selection. The nominations shall fall in any one of these areas:

  • Education
  • Environmental Protection
  • Commerce and Industry
  • Professionals
  • Civil and Social Services
  • Entertainment/Sports/Culture and Art
