The World Concern Development Commission was formed in 2017 to support JCI Hong Kong and connect all active citizens with the United Nations Foundation, especially the Nothing But Nets Campaign. We are coordinating the promotion of the Nothing But Nets Campaign by initiating a program called "Little Philanthropist".
Nothing But Nets is a global grassroot campaign to save lives by preventing malaria, a leading killer of children in sub-Saharan Africa. The purpose of "Little Philanthropist" program is to promote the Nothing But Nets campaign by inspiring children in Hong Kong to participate in philanthropic activities and understand the meaning of giving back. This year we are grateful to have “little girl” Celine Yeung as our ambassador. The program is supported by LG to facilitate the promotion of a VR video. The VR video is a visual short film connecting you with the actual habitat and environment in Nyarugusa, Africa.
Come and join us for our first promotion on the 17th of July at Fortune Metropolis, Hung Hom to experience the virtual story of a girl living in Africa. You will know a story about her family and how she has suffered from malaria. Official website and more will be available before the end of June, please stay tuned and follow us to the inspiring "Little Philanthropy" and our virtual connection to Nothing but Net. Spend a net, save a life!
