Today, Board members and Chamber Executive of JCI Hong Kong visited our Youth Advisor Mr. Lau Ming Wai, BBS, JP. Mr. Lau shared how inspiring it has been since he took office of Chairman of the Commission on Youth nine months ago. The JCI Mission is very close to what he has in mind -- linking young people with development opportunities for them to explore their potentials. Youngsters nowadays are less optimistic about our future outlook. He encouraged youth organisations like JCI to offer job shadowing opportunities to teenagers so as to enrich their life planning.
He added that JCI could make use of our international network. Through us, young people get to see the world. One example would be facilitating cultural exchange between young people in Hong Kong and those in Belt and Road countries.
We presented appointment certificate to Mr. Lau at the end of the meeting and invited him to tell us more in his capacity of Youth Advisor.
