Formation of a new JCI Chapter is not an easy task as it involves many different aspects of work including the recruitment of members, company incorporation, membership orientation and training, project planning and execution, communication with the National organisation, JCI Hong Kong etc. The most important piece of work, in my experience so far, is to help the new members understand and appreciate the ideals and objectives of JCI. At this point in time, I am glad to say that we have done nearly all of these preparation work required in establishing a new JCI Chapter. In this connection, on behalf of all members of JCI Tsuen Wan, I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to our sponsoring Chapter, JCI Kowloon and the group of Past Presidents led by Past National President Andrew Wong for their guidance and assistance given to JCI Tsuen Wan since the idea of establishing a new Chapter in Tsuen Wan came into picture last year.
While we have made plans for some leadership development projects and community projects to be carried out in coming months, we are about to engage in a flagship project on enterprise legacy. Moreover, being a JCI Chapter in Tsuen Wan, we will focus more on projects of different nature for the benefit of Tsuen Wan District. Besides, as our Chapter is a newly established one, and JCI is an international organisation emphasizing on leadership training for young people that empower them to create positive changes to the community, membership recruitment and training will be our priority tasks in the coming years.
