JCI Hong Kong, China 75th Anniversary Celebration Events

JCI Hong Kong, China celebrated its 75th Anniversary by organizing the VIP Celebration Party, "Tourism is Everywhere in Hong Kong" Survey Results Announcement Press Conference and Banquet in early May, attracting almost 1,000 local and overseas participants.

JCIHK proudly showcased its Jaycee legacy since 1950 to over 270 government officials and business leaders in its VIP Celebration Party, with the Hon C Y Leung, GBM, GBS, JP, Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Former Chief Executive of the HKSAR as the Guest of Honor. 

Following the ceremony, a fireside chat featured 3 renowned speakers including:

- Mr Clement Woo, MH, JP, Under Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs of the HKSAR and 2007 JCIHK National President; 

- Dr Y K Pang, GBS, JP, Chairman of Hong Kong, Jardine Matheson Limited and Honorary Advisor of JCIHK; and 

- Dr Ricky Chiu, Hong Kong TOYP 2021 Awardee, World TOYP 2022 Awardee and PHASE Scientific Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.

The event also included an exhibition showcasing JCIHK's signature projects and its contributions to Hong Kong society, reinforcing its commitment to leadership and community impact.

"Tourism is Everywhere in Hong Kong" Survey Results Announcement Press Conference on 4 May

As part of JCIHK’s 75th Anniversary celebrations, “Tourism is Everywhere in Hong Kong” Survey achieved notable success, attracting extensive media coverage and sparking discussions on eco-travel and hospitality.

Conducted from Mar to early Apr 2025, the survey showcased JCIHK’s international network, engaging 836 locals and 410 foreigners from 35 countries and regions. The results were announced on 4 May, revealing valuable insights about respondents' favorite attractions and emphasizing the rich experiences our vibrant city has to offer.

We were honored to have:

- Hon. Yiu Pak Leung, MH, JP, Legislative Council Member of the HKSAR and

- Mr Mark Joseph David, JCI Executive Vice President, who delivered inspiring speeches; and

- Mr Paul Chan, Co-founder & CEO of Walk in Hong Kong, serving as the Survey Advisor and announcing the results with us.

A highlight of the event was a panel discussion focusing on eco-travel, local culture, and hospitality. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our esteemed guests:

- Mr Timothy Chui, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Association;

- Mr Derek Tse, General Manager of Eco Travel Limited; and

- Ms Atlanta Lloyd, JCI Australia National President, for their valuable contribution.

In addition to these enlightening sessions, we celebrated the signing of a pledge for cultural advocacy, aiming at promoting cultural diversity. We are grateful to the 20 NOMs from the Asia-Pacific area who joined us in this important initiative.

JCIHK 75th Anniversary Banquet on 5 May 

On 5 May, over 570 members came together to celebrate JCIHK’s historic milestone, marking 75 years of leadership, growth and brotherhood.  Long service awards were presented to over 250 awardees to recognize their unwavering support to the organization over the years, making the night truly memorable!

A big thank you to everyone who participated in our series of celebration events, which exemplified JCIHK’s unwavering commitment to community engagement and international collaboration!  Here’s to JCIHK’s 75 Years of Leadership Journey, and many more milestones ahead!
