JCIHK’s Beijing Studies Tour (14-18 April 2017)
July 17, 2017
JCIHK does not only provide development opportunities for members to extend their international network but also to broaden members’ horizons of the Mainland Chinese development. The National Mainland Affairs Team led 32 participants including local chapter presidents and members of the Executive Committee to Beijing for the annual Beijing Studies Tour. The tour has been taken place since 1989.
During the tour, we attended two days of classes at the China Youth University of Political Studies, learning topics on “One Belt One Road and the opportunities for Hong Kong people”, “One Country, Two Systems”, etc. Besides, we have visited the Global Compact Network China; Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council (國務院港澳事務辦公室); Office of the Government of the HKSAR of the People's Republic of China in Beijing (香港特別行政區政府駐北京辦事處) and The Ministry of Civil Affairs(民政部). Local chapter presidents had gotten the opportunities to introduce their local community projects that are related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals as well as learning the movement of achieving UNSDG in Mainland China. We also had a dinner with the representatives of All-China Youth Federation, strengthening the friendship between the two organizations for their long term partnership on promoting exchange of members.
The success of the tour could not be achieved without the advice and support from JCI VP/PNP Anthony Leung, NPA Gene Tang, PNP George Lung, PNP Eric Tang, PNP James Tsui, PNP Johnny Kwan, NACC Jacob Chan.
